Trucking: dyed-diesel relief is live — the math is thinner than the pitch, and Florida's waiver is ag-only

IRS relief allowing red-dyed diesel on highways through Dec 31 is now in effect, worth 24.4¢/gal in deferred federal tax — while AAA put national diesel at $6.31/gal Monday (vs $3.63 a year ago), and distillate stocks are down 12% year-over-year, over 20% on the East Coast, heading into winter.
